Short Biography

Mr. Omar Abu-Bakr, consultant venous surgeon and Phlebologist and consultant general surgeon, with an experience of over 15 years in treating varicose veins and more 56 certificates in that field and still looking for more.
 First surgeon in the world who ever described treating incompetent perforating veins on the feet using the endovenous laser, he called that technique “The Cushion Technique” in 2022.
 Beside The Whiteley Clinic team, he was one of the first surgeons in the world who described the way of treating huge varicose veins with endovenous laser using the Multi-pass technique in 2018.
 Second surgeon in UK to use High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) to treat varicose veins.
 Second surgeon in UK to perform Endovenous Microwave Ablation of varicose veins.
 First Doctor in Romania to do the Ultrasound Guided Foam Sclerotherapy for varicose veins in 2007.
