Short Biography
Prof. David Beckett, consultant venous surgeon and Phlebologist and Consultant Interventional Radiologist, with an experience of over 15 years in treating varicose veins and Pelvic Congestion Syndrome.Prof. Beckett has performed well over 1000 Pelvic Vein Embolisations
Having attained his basic degree with Distinction in Medicine in London Prof. Beckett underwent his radiology training in Birmingham before completing his fellowship training in Interventional Radiology at the Sheffield Vascular Institute. Prof. Beckett obtained a training bursary in 2006 which he used to train in endovenous techniques at The Whiteley Clinic.
Prof. Beckett formally joined The Whiteley Clinic in 2009 and underwent training in Pelvic Vein embolisation and began offering this at The Whiteley Clinic in 2014. He has undertaken more that 1000+ procedures and specialises in Pelvic Congestion Syndrome and its management
Prof. Beckett now proctors and teaches Pelvic Vein Embolisation techniques both nationally and internationally. He has published around PVE and has and is an invited speaker on this topic at national and international levels. He has won international recognition on his presentations and seeks to promote Pelvic Congestion Syndrome education within the medical field.
In May 2023 Prof. Beckett was awarded Honorary Professor at The College of Phlebology.
