Treatment of venous leg ulcers has been changing dramatically over the last
decade or more.
Traditionally, venous leg ulcers are treated by compression and dressings.
However, randomised studies have shown venous leg ulcers heal faster and with less chance of recurrence if they are treated with endovenous surgery.
Prof Mark Whiteley has been invited to give a lecture on the latest developments of treating venous ulcers. This will be broadcast by a webinar run by the venous association of India.
Prof Sergio Gianesini will be presenting a case from his own practice.
The meeting will be convened and chaired by Dr Malay Patel, Prof JF Uhl and Dr JP Benigni.
Two expert panellists will ask questions. The panellists will be Dr WassilaTaha and Dr Sandeep Mahapatra.
